I grew up on the West Coast of Scotland, where the sea meets the hills and the wind carries stories older than memory. My mum was American, so I had a foot in two worlds—Scottish roots and American dreams. It gave me a love for travel, exploring and history as well a curiosity about the wider world.
I studied Art and Design, majoring in Ceramics, and spent hours shaping clay, sketching ideas, and exploring how form and texture tell stories. I’ve always loved the arts—wandering through galleries like Kelvingrove in Glasgow, where the grandeur of Scottish creativity is on full display, and the Alte Nationalgalerie in Berlin, where European masters speak through brushstrokes and light.
Music was the heartbeat of our home. My dad had a hobby of fixing radios for friends, so we always had music playing—folk ballads, soft rock, soul, and everything in between. That constant soundtrack shaped my musical taste. I grew up loving the raw honesty of Scottish folk, the storytelling in American country, the energy of soft rock, and the soulfulness of artists who sang about the subjects that mattered to them.
I’ve always written—journals, poems, lyrics. It was my way of making sense of things. Over time, those notes turned into songs. Now, I’m proud to say I’ve released my first song, available on Amazon Music, Apple Music, and Spotify. It’s a celebration of everything that’s brought me here—my roots, my travels, my faith, and the stories I carry.
My music is about connection. It’s about the love of Scotland, the pull of the road, the quiet moments of reflection, and the joy of creating something that lasts. I experiment with styles—Scottish Celtic, Acoustic, Folk, Soft Rock, ambient textures—always looking for the right sound to match the story. I believe in authorship, in crafting songs that feel honest and grounded. I’m not chasing trends—I’m building a legacy-friendly catalog that reflects who I am and what I stand for.
I write about what matters: the land, the people, the journey. You’ll hear themes of faith, hope, and the elemental forces that shape us— faith, hope and love, earth, wind, and fire. I try to keep things real, with a touch of Scottish soul. As we say here, ““When the heart is full, the tongue will speak”
As I continue to shape my sound and build my catalog, I’m passionate about creating music that’s both personal and universal. I draw inspiration from the landscapes of Scotland, the stories passed down through generations, and the rhythms of everyday life. Whether I’m writing about the quiet strength of home, the longing that comes with travel, or the spiritual threads that run through it all, I aim to craft songs that resonate across borders and generations. My work blends Scottish folk traditions with modern acoustic production, and I’m always exploring new ways to honour my roots while reaching listeners around the world.
Teal Skyline is more than a name—it’s a vision. It’s the colour of the sea on a stormy day, the horizon that calls you forward, the blend of tradition and innovation. It’s where my music lives, and where I hope you’ll find something that speaks to you.
Thanks for being here. Whether you’re streaming a song, reading the lyrics, or just exploring the story—I’m glad we’ve crossed paths.
